What To Expect During Your Appointment With Westgate Dental Centre
If you have scheduled your first appointment with Westgate Dental Centre, you can expect a comfortable experience. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your first appointment so that we can gather all of your information
Gathering Medical Information
The first step in visiting our dental office is to provide us with a brief medical history. By obtaining this information, we can ensure that you receive individualized service upon each visit to our office, and it will help us to safely work around any personal conditions or medication allergies.
If you have not been to a dentist’s office recently, we may recommend that x-rays be taken. This allows us to closely examine your dental structure, and look for any problems with tooth decay or other issues.
At Westgate Dental Centre, we do not advise x-rays for patients that are pregnant. If you are pregnant or believe that you may be pregnant, please let us know before your appointment begins.
Having your teeth regularly cleaned can help to protect against plaque build-up, cavities, and other harmful dental problems. During any regular exam at Westgate Dental Centre, we will clean your teeth gently by removing any plaque and tartar.
After your cleaning, one of our dentists will examine your teeth and gums to determine if they are healthy or if there are any signs of problems. If no issues are found, your dental appointment is complete, and we can schedule your next regular exam.
