WHAT ARE INVISALIGN ALIGNERS?
Invisalign is an alternative and modern alternative to orthodontics and braces. It is a customized aligner that is placed over the top and/or bottom teeth, it is translucent and nearly invisible. This aligners for teeth needs to be changed every 2 weeks for a period that can range from 6 months to over a year depending on the corrective needs of the patient’s teeth. It is very similar to dental retainers which are designed to keep your teeth from shifting. The major difference between Invisalign and a retainer is that the Invisalign treatment will move and align your teeth gradually over time instead of just keeping them in place.
It is an effective alternative for; teeth gaps, crowded teeth, bite problems including overbite and underbite.
INVISALIGN VS. TRADITIONAL BRACES
Ultimately Invisalign and traditional braces have the same end goal, to straighten teeth and improve the health and appearance of a smile. Even though they share a similar objective the procedures are very different.
The major advantages of Invisalign over traditional braces include;

HOW TO GET INVISALIGN®
If you are looking to get one, the process is a relatively easy.
Step 1: Consult a Doctor or Dentist
The first step you need to take is to schedule a consultation with an orthodontist or dentist about your eligibility. During your initial consultation, they’ll assess whether you’re a good candidate for Invisalign and create a treatment plan. After an examination, the dental professional will go over the benefits of it. Once this is completed you will get a digital preview of how your new smile will look after the treatment.
Step 2: Get Custom-Made
The next step in the process is to get your Invisalign aligner custom-made and constructed to match your teeth/smile. This is done using special scanning technology. With this, there is no messy teeth molds or long waiting periods. The scanning system is fast, accurate, and will help your dental professional create the perfect alignment trays for your teeth.
Step 3: Start Using
When the first set of your aligners are finished in production, you can pick them up from us, or your dental professional and start wearing them. This will change over time to match the evolution and improvement of your smile. You will need to pick up new sets over time. When a patient gets the new aligners they will need to switch the with the old one so their teeth and smile will continue to improve.
